Cada vez son máis as propostas para pensar os espazos exteriores como prolongacións das aulas interiores, a pandemia puxo sobre a mesa a necesidade de repensar estes espazos. Os que traballamos na escola infantil sabemos que xa non é unha necesidade de índole sanitaria senón unha necesidade propia das nenas e nenos en crecemento: do seu desenvolvemento motor, cognitivo, lingüístico e emocional. E sí, é certo que xa levamos tempo reflexionando sobre as zonas exteriores, en torno ás necesidades estrutuais atreveriamonos a dicir que toca avanzar un pasiño máis e incluír non so as posibilidades de xogo que ten o exterior tamén as posibilidades que ofrece para o desenvolvemento das rutinas diarias. Cantas escolas ofrecemos a froita da media mañá no exterior? Algunha organiza o xantar no xardín? Dormen as nenas e nenos na herba ou nalgunha zona confortable deseñada para o descanso? Algún punto de auga que a maiores da riqueza sensorial que ofrece para xogar permita ser un punto para favorecer a hixiene das nenas e nenos?

 

 

 

Na nosa escola imos facendo pequenas propostas pero queda moito camiño por diante para que se configuren como piar do noso proxecto educativo, aínda que as tímidas ocasións nas que planificamos momentos cotiáns no exterior, case sempre de xeito espontáneo porque o día está agradable e apetece estar máis tempo fóra, o reporte é moi positivo. As nenas e nenos viven a experiencia relaxados e o ambiente invita a compartir o momento sen présa, agradecendo a oportunidade de sentir o exterior.

E sendo a experiencia tan positiva, por que non volvelo hábito e non excepcionalidade? Pois supoñemos que son barreiras psicolóxicas difíciles de sortear ou dificultades organizativas que soamente nos permiten saírnos da nosa zona de confort de cando en vez… non?

Rematamos cun desexo, xa que o COVID-19 nos trouxo un protocolo que xustifica a vida no exterior, oxalá que para todas as escolas novas que se constrúan se teña en conta a inmensidade pedagóxica do exterior. Estar no exterior non é un estar por estar, é un estilo educativo do que queremos formar parte.

Para conseguilo é importante contar no deseño das escolas coa implicación dos arquitectos e cada vez xorden con máis forza proxectos de escolas onde arquitectura e educación van da man, proxectos que teñen en conta a luz e a ventilación natural, os espazos para gran e pequeno grupo, a posibilidade de tránsito libre para o alumnado, as zonas exteriores amplas, verdes e con sombra, con recunchos para multiplicar as posibilidades de xogo das nenas e nenos, espazos para compartir coas familias ou materIais versátiles porque, no 0-3 especialmente, o momento evolutivo non é o mesmo no inicio, durante ou a final do curso.
